Humanities Hearts (HH) is a global youth-run organization focused on educating, inspiring, protecting, and empowering the youth of the world! Through our unique projects, we are able to help youth make huge impacts in other communities as well as their own!

HH is based on the Zulu philosophy 'ubuntu' which is a Nguni Bantu term meaning 'humanity'!!
​
It began in 2015 by Ziyad and in 2020 our very first team was assembled!
Our mission
​
Our mission is to give youth the opportunities to make meaningful changes in their own community as well as communities across the globe! We are focused on the idea of helping youth 'educate' one another in the hopes of breaking down societal issues. We hope with our projects to decrease global issues by providing the education needed in and out of school from math to mental health to sexual education!

​
Your mission should you choose to accept it is to help HH grow by volunteering and becoming part of our community! ​There are so many different ways you can help from just sharing a post to becoming an HH activist and getting your whole community involved! Our projects in rural areas ​
HH currently has 5 branches in 3 countries (Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania) with over 200 members. These are all orphanages that are recipients of the HH syllabus!

All our branches are within rural areas and at some children walk an average of 8km a day to rural schools where the education quality is extremely poor. In countries like Malawi, 8% of students graduate high school.
​
Some of the reasons for drop-out rates in school include danger in the community especially for young girls who are victims of rape and young boys who get lured into the wrong crowds.
​
With the syllabus, we can improve education and peer connections within the orphanage. Strengthing the student's understanding of education and its beauty! The syllabus plans to go far further than just traditional school topics but into taboo topics like sex ed, mental health, and moral campus classes.
Into the future... ​
HH sees a bright future with these projects! To have a community of passionate youth from across the globe helping out their communities and educating and inspiring others to do the same! Whether it branches holding ski competitions to raise money for refugees in Syria to a bake sale or poetry night! We cant wait to see what unfolds for our future and all the amazing, creative, and passionate individuals who join us!
